Nike designated Athletic Republic to be an initial distributor of the Nike Vapor Strobes because of our performance sports training center’s proven capabilities for integrating sports science into training. In addition Athletic Republic helped designed the training protocols. These strobe glasses strengthen the athletes’ eyes to see, think and do. 



The Nike Strobes help athletes enhance their sensory and sensory-motor skills. When used with specific training drills, the Strobes reduce visual information that athletes use to make decisions about when and where to react, thereby forcing the wearer to become more efficient with the limited visual information provided.

The Strobes are a powerful tool to force the player to keep his or her eyes on the ball. Nike and Athletic Republic developed Strobe training drills that are designed to improve the following skills:

- Focus/Attention: Forces athletes to keep eyes “on the ball” throughout completion of the athletic task
- Anticipation Timing: Accurate, precise timing of a specific response
- Imagery/Visualization: Accurate tracking of an object in the mind’s eye
- Reaction time: Improved ability to execute a task more quickly
- Balance/Stability: Quicker responses to external stimuli
- Peripheral Vision: Enhanced awareness and responsiveness to the athlete’s surroundings
